Due to a significant plumbing issue, IMA – West Haven will no longer be meeting at it’s current location at 502 Saw Mill Road.

Unfortunately, our new location is not yet ready for occupancy. Yes, the good news is we’ve been planning a move and preparing a new space. We hoped to make a more dramatic announcement, but circumstances have dictated otherwise.

In the interim, we have secured practice space at RVP Studios, 221 Bull Hill Lane, West Haven, according to the following schedule.

Tuesday, 9/18:from 6:30 – 8:30 pm. From 6:30 – 7:30pm we invite the class that meets on Wednesdays from 6:30 – 7:15pm to join the Tuesday class that normally meets at that time. From 7:30 – 8:30pm we invite the class that meets on Wednesdays from 7:45 – 8:45pm to join with the black belt class that normally meets that night.

Saturday, 9/22, from 9am – 12:00 noon. This would follow our usual Saturday morning schedule. All black belts are welcome to join in on any of these classes to both help and prepare for the Yankee National Tournament.

Wednesday, 9/26 from 6:30 – 8:30pm. From 6:30 – 7:30pm we invite the class that meets on Tuesdays from 6:30 – 7:15pm to join the class that normally meets at that time. From 7:30 – 8:30pm we invite all black belts to join with the Red and Apprentice Black Belts that normally meet at that time.

Unfortunately, there will be no weapons classes.

We hope this is clear. If you have questions, please contact Master Santaus. Please pass this message around to anyone you know is impacted by this change.

We apologize for this inconvenience. While the issue is outside of our control, we recognize that it has an impact on our community. Your patience and support is appreciated. Please know that we will make amends as necessary and appropriate.

Congratulations to all our students who were promoted at Saturday’s grading. You did a tremendous job in demonstrating all you have learned. A special recognition to 3rd Dan Miss Rachel Petraccione for successfully leading her first gup grading. Tang Soo!

We are having an open house on April 2, 2016 from 9am – noon. Classes will be in session and there will be special demonstrations including forms, weapons, board breaking, and sparring. If you’ve ever been interested in the martial arts, the open house is an opportunity to come and see.
